Just Diagnosed

So I am dealing w the fact that cancer doesn’t just happen to “someone else”. And the Lord has a plan and a script that I just got tuned into. I’m sure many blessings will come of this as that has been the case for me all my life when negative events and obstacles have been in my way. It is a bit scary no doubt but I have a strong faith and I can feel the presence of the Lord at my side each minute – I know He is with me and will continue to comfort me. I am thankful also for my lovely wife and family for their support, love and encouragement.
I hope I can make a difference in others’ lives by helping them detect cancer earlier in their coarse or in the lives of their loved ones. Everyone should be aware of how common prostate cancer is (1 in 6 men will develop it) and how important it is to get annual check ups and PSA tests from the age of 40 on. I had no risk factors for cancer w no family history, no symptoms and no smoking history. I have always been athletic with an excellent diet w little red meat and have taken vitamins for much of my life. I thought I was invincible. Apparently I was wrong. None of us are invincible. But life goes on. I will be OK in the end. I know it. Feel free to comment and share your story n this blog.
